Steve Nash is the toughest guy in the NBA

Steve Nash is from Canada. Steve Nash is tough. We know this after last year when he had his nose nearly broken off in last years playoffs. In last nights game against the Jazz he resembled an old school hockey player with a missing tooth after taking and inadvertent elbow from Carlos Boozer. Despite looking like some sort of monster, he was still able to lead his team to a 103-98 victory over the Jazz.

Rockets can’t hit a Free Throw to save their lives

So the Rockets went 6-22 from the Free throw line last night. I’ll say it again, 6-22 from the Free throw line. These are shots where there are not being defended! Somehow they still managed to beat the Pistons in last nights game though. The final score was 80-77.

Prior to this game, Yao called his team soft. This must have motivated his guys to toughen up. Especially Tracy McGrady on this play:

• Kris Humphries had 16 points and 12 rebounds, Chris Bosh scored 17 points and Toronto beat Dallas 92-76 for the Raptors’ first win over the Mavericks in more than four years.

• Paul Pierce knocked down 26 against the Kings as the Celtics improved to 18-2. Dime notes that Sacramento was short-handed.
• Isiah Thomas’ run in New York may have reached its breaking point as the Sonics, led by a skinny rookie and an edgy former Knick, came into the Garden and stunned the Knicks 117-110.
• Michael Redd had 27 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists to help the Milwaukee Bucks snap a four-game losing streak with a 100-86 victory over the Orlando Magic.
• Carmelo Anthony had 32 points, including a three-point play with 38.4 seconds left, to lift the Denver Nuggets to a 105-99 win over the New Orleans Hornets.
• Travis Outlaw had 22 points and eight rebounds, and the Portland Trail Blazers beat the Golden State Warriors 105-95 for their fifth straight victory.
