First the bad news, Terrell Owens was injured during the game with a high ankle sprain. One of the most dreaded injuries in sports. (see video below) He will have an MRI today and we will find out how long we will be without everyones favorite Cowboy.
The good news for the Cowboys was that Tony Romo’s injured right thumb didn’t seem to affect him so much, especially like it did last week. They were very careful the whole week with Romo, not letting him take any snaps during practice. On the first snap of the game it seemed to be an issue with their backup center as Romo fumbled right when he received it.
Before leaving, Owens did look good on his touchdown catch. He just made the Panthers cornerback Richard Marshall look like high school freshmen when he caught the quick pass to the outside and just pushed Marshall off of him. Check out the video:
Later Owens would suffer an injury that could potentially hurt the Cowboys a lot.
Hopefully, for Cowboy nation, Owens won’t be out for long. Don’t expect to see him play next week against the Redskins in a game which could determine whether or not the Cowboys have home field advantage in the playoffs. T. O. picked a bad time to get hurt.
