The Mavs seem close to winning the Jason Kidd contest. According to ESPN, the Mavericks were in serious trade discussions with Portland on a three-way deal that would send Kidd back back to his roots.
The Mavs drafted Kidd back in 1994. It didn’t last long there for him but he did manage to win rookie of the year. Makes you wonder what would’ve happened if that whole “three J’s” thing worked out.

Baron Davis missed the morning shoot around because he was feeling ill, he got booed every time he touched the ball but despite all of that, he was able to lead the Warriors past the streaking Hornets in a 116-103 victory.
The Hornets have been this years biggest surprise with the top record in the Western Conference but they couldn’t stop the Warriors emotional leaders, Baron Davis and Stephen Jackson who put in 23 and 26 points respectively.

After the Mets collapse last year, they had to make some changes. They had to make a big deal in the offseason to prove that they were really about it when it came to winning the National League. They accomplished that yesterday by agreeing to a trade with the Twins for Johan Santana.
