Jason Kidd’s sick bounce pass to Richard Jefferson

First time here? Subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Lets applaud the Nets. Jason Kidd made the observation that they will be getting back on track and it certainly looked like it last night as they took the victory against the Magic last night. Check out this amazing pass last night. Just Jason being Jason I suppose.

Bill Belichick wins Coach of the year, Cam Cameron losses his job

belichick.jpgToday was a very different day for Patriots coach Bill Belichick and former Dolphins coach Cam Cameron.

After leading his team to a 16-0 season, serving endless amounts of humble pie and managing to wear some of the ugliest sweatshirts you may ever see, Bill Belichick was named the Coach of the year in a decisive vote.

After starting off the season very rocky with the spygate scandal, the Pats went on to not lose another game proving once again the bad guys do win in the end. I wonder what the bonus for winning taking this award is? Belichick would probably like to get that half million back from the spygate scandal.

Cam Cameron was fired today after having an aweful 1-15 season. The Dolphins continued their attempt at an extreme makeover after hiring Bill Parcels as their vice president. I guess Cam didn't fit into their plans for the future. He's another coaching casualty added to the list this holiday season. Happy Holidays Everyone!!

LeBron James takes over against Hawks

LeBron James is a beast. It's official. After having a tremendous first half with 4 points. He came back to score 32 in the second half. He also scored 19 of those points in the fourth quarter when it counted to most to lead the Cavs to victory over the Hawks last night.

NHL Wrap: Thrashers take the battle for the Southeast, Red Wings are the best in the West

thrash-canes.jpgThrashers top Hurricanes in OT

It took overtime to do it but the Thrashers were able to continue they great play as of late. They've been able to play past a frustrating streak to begin the season. The Canes need to figure out how to do the same thing though.

Marian Hossa scored a power-play goal off a pass from Ilya Kovalchuk with only about 30 seconds left in the game. With the 5-4 victory the Thrashers pulled to within 3 games of the Southeast leading Hurricanes. Watch out, their right on your heals canes.

Hockey-town is still the best in the West

In a battle of the two top teams in the western conference, the Red Wings made winning look easy against the Dallas Stars. Dan Cleary led the way for the Wings with a goal and an assist in the win.

The Wings took care of the Stars winning 4-1. Besides the goal from Cleary, the Red Wings also got goal contributions from
Johan Franzen, Dallas Drake and Pavel Datsyuk. Sharing is fun!

This is the best team in the league right now. Point blank.

NBA Wrap: Pistons can streak too

tayshaun-prince.jpgPistons push win streak to 10

10 was the big number for the Pistons last night. The Pistons won their 10th game in a row against the Wizards with their 106-93 win. Richard Hamilton also became the Detroit Pistons 10th leading scorer all time. Congrats.

The Pistons are really starting to look the best team in the east. All the Celtics fans out there better recognize real. Those two teams are going at it on Saturday in D-town so we'll see what goes down.

T-Macless Rockets can't stick in the Celtics

Despite not having Tracy McGrady in this game and being down 20 points in the first half, the Rockets managed to make a game of it. They took the lead in the fourth quarter but they were not able to stop the Celtics in the end, Kevin Garnett in particular.

Garnett completely took over in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 of his 26 in the last seven minutes, grabbing a big steal with two minutes to go, and blocking a shot with just seconds remaining to seal the victory. Thats how you want your superstar to play down the stretch.

The Celtics have matched the best start in are 30 games in NBA history at 27-3. Can they win 70?

Don't make LeBron mad

Don't make LeBron James mad and need to take over in the end of the game. Just ask the Pistons from last years playoffs. James didn't play like he did in that series but he wasn't half bad against the Hawks last night though.

At halftime he had a whopping 4 points. In the second half went on to score 32 points to end with 36 and led the Cavs to a 98-94 win. Happy 23rd birthday to LeBron. Better luck next time to the Hawks.

Owen Schmitt = Beer truck

In West Virginia's upset of Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl tonight, FB Owen Schmitt had a record setting 57 yard run, the longest in Fiesta Bowl history as well as the longest of his career. According to announcer Matt Vasgersian, Owen Schmitt resembled a "beer truck." Thats a first, lol. Check it out.

Thanks to Awful Announcing for puttin me up on this.

NHL Wrap: Sidney Crosby came out to play in Winter Classic

outdoor-game.jpgPens take Winter Classic in a shootout

The NHL needs more games like this. The NHL is by far the lowest rated of the four major sports in America. Even though the game is pretty meaningless it was awesome to see the game played outdoors in Buffalo in January. There was snow which added to the whole atmosphere.

Sidney Crosby shined in the outdoor game, scoring the game winning shootout goal.

Chris Bosh bids for the All Star game

Chris Bosh did his best used car salesman impression in this video bid to send him to the NBA all star game. This is particularly funny for me because I live in Texas now and there are actually guys like that out here.

Unfortunately for Bosh, if he does get into the all star game, there's no chance that he beats Bron Bron or Ticket to get in the starting five. He's got my vote though.
