The Red Wings have recently been on their worst slump in nearly 20 years. Dominik Hasek had 22 saves against his former team to hold them to just 2 goals in this one. Johan Franzen and Valtteri Filppula each had a goal and an assist to push the Red Wings to a 4-2 victory

This win is only the second for the Red Wings in their last 12 games.

Blackhawks 4 - Canucks 1

The undermanned and depleted Blackhawks were led by Patrick Kane in their game against the Canucks yesterday. Right now the Blackhawks are missing Martin Havlat (shoulder), Nikolai Khabibulin (back spasms), Robert Lang (sore back) and Brent Sopel (wrist).

Patrick Kane wasn't going to allow them to lose this one though, scoring two goals and one assist as the Blackhawks took the 4-1 victory over the Canucks.

Rangers 5 - Flyers 4

The goalie matchup was a bit of a surprise in this one, considering that Steve Valiquette has owned the Flyers this season and the Flyers went with Antero Nittymaki despite the fact that Martin Biron has won his last 3 games.  They both regretted that decision as each goalie gave up 3 goals in the first period and they were both pulled.

Steve Valiquette's recent dominance of the Flyers showed in this one as he was stone cold in the shootout, not giving up a goal and earning his third win over them in the Rangers 5-4 shootout victory over the Flyers.
