Lakers 117 - Kings 105
Last night in the Lakers game against their long time in state rivals the Kings, Kobe Bryant got a mixed reaction in Sac-town. Some of the crowd was booing him everytime he touched the ball but some of the crowd was also yelling "M-V-P!"
I don't know what he payed more attention too but he used it all as motivation to take over in the fourth quarter, as we've grown accustom to from him. He finished with 34 points but he scored 17 of those points in ridiculous fourth quarter performance that led the Lakers to the 117-105 win over the Kings.
Pau Gasol also scored 31 points and Lamar Odom finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds. He has been flying under the radar but I think that the way he wanted it. Since the Gasol trade he has played out of his my mind.
Suns 97 - Blazers 92
The Suns went up big on the Blazers in this one, so you'd think that they would cruise to a win right? Building up a 23 point lead is usually a good sign but when you've been playing poorly, anything can happen, including nearly blowing a 23 point lead.
The Suns were trying to avoid losing their third straight game and despite a late run from the Blazers, they managed to hold on for the 97-92 victory.
Apparently the commissioner David Stern watches TV on two televisions, classic.
Spurs 81 - Nets 70
You know your playing well when you can shoot poorly and defend poorly and you still win the game. Even though the Spurs were guilty of both last night, they still managed to continue their win streak by beating the Nets 81-70 at home last night. The Spurs have the quietest win streak going right now.
The Spurs are currently in first place in the West and have won 10 games in a row. You probably wouldn't even know it but they are just quietly going about their business and making their late season push like they usually do.
