The Pacers sure could’ve used Jermaine O’neal this year. Maybe they wouldn’t be on the outside of the playoff hunt looking in. You have to think so considering that they had a decent start to the year and they play in the eastern conference. Even though they are 12 games below .500 and moral in Indiana is lower than it was when Reggie Miller retired, they are still only 3 games behind the Hawks for the last playoff spot. So that leaves them with the option of either going for a late playoff run with 8 games left and potentially play the Celtics or have an early vacation. **Cough Cough**Tank the games!!**Cough Cough**
Anyway, Jermaine had 9 points in his first game back in 33 games and after missing a total of 40 games this season. He helped the Pacers to win. It didn’t hurt that they were playing the Heat. He got a standing ovatation in his return and afterwards he thanked the fans for their support.
Very classy.
Note to Peyton Manning: You don’t have to keep your consecutive game streak going, you can take 3 years off with “injuries” and they’ll still love you in Indiana
