Conflicting reports on Mike D’Antoni: Will he be fired or not??

It was reported by Sport Illustrated's Jack McCallum that Phoenix Head Coach Mike D'Antoni had been fired from the Suns after their 5 game first round loss the the San Antonio Spurs.

Now this wouldn't have surprised me at all considering that with D'Antoni, the Suns could never get past the Spurs even though I would give him a pass this year though. If anyone should've gone this year, I would say that it should've been Steve Kerr after making the decision to bring Shaquille O'neal to a team that already had 60 win season chemistry.

Later, it was reported that Kerr has no intention on firing Mike D'Antoni and has no idea where these rumor came from:

"There's no truth to that," Kerr told the Arizona Republic. "I asked Mike when the story came out and he denied it. Mike's our coach and has done a great job for four years. We'll get together soon and talk about where this team can go from here."

This just goes to show you that main stream media messes up too. Take that Buzz Bissinger.
