Olivo Astacio attacks teammate with a bat: It went way past words

The Pittsburgh Pirates released pitcher Olivo Astacio earlier this week without really giving any details as to why. The only thing they said was that it was described as a “significant violation of organization policy.”

Well thats not good enough for sportfiends. We wanna know why and we found out.

Turns out that Astacio got into it with another another player. Their argument escalated to the point where Astacio decided the best course of action would be to attack the player…….. with a bat. He struck him in the leg once and swung again but missed (thats why he’s a pitcher). After the second swing the fight was broken up.

No word on who this other player is but thankfully he wasn’t seriously injured. No further charges have been filed but I wouldn’t expect to see Astacio lacing them up anywhere else anytime soon.
