Ever since Bill Parcells got the gig as the President of Football operations for the Miami Dolphins, he's been cleaning house. He told the team in his opening speech when he was hired that he wanted to have players with character, rather than having players that are characters.

Enter Ricky Williams. One of the NFLs more interesting characters over the last decade. Williams is a well known pothead out of Texas who was once one of the top backs in the league.

He has violated the NFL substance abuse policy 4 times but he's gotten another chance in the NFL but with Parcels cutting players at an alarming rate in Miami, Williams questioned whether or not he would still have a job there.

"[Parcells] was describing the kind of player he wanted," Williams told the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman in Thursday's editions. "Honestly, I had doubts if I was going to be that type of player.

"I was expecting him not to talk to me at all. I was expecting to get a letter in the mail saying I was going to be a free agent."

Instead the Tuna told him that he would be backing up Ronnie Brown. I'm sure he breathed a sigh of relief.
