David Ortiz injury: Big Papi could be done for the year

The Red Sox could be without one of their biggest guns this season. During Saturday's matchup between the Orioles and the Red Sox, David Ortiz sustained a tendon injury in his hand.
It turns out that it more serious than initially thought. Big Papi's wrist will be immobilized for the next month to figure out whether it will heal on it's own. If it doesn't then he will require season ending surgery. Ouch. Just when things were going good for the Sox.
Red Sox officials confirmed after last night’s 6-3 loss to the Orioles that Ortiz has a partial tear of the extensor carpi ulnaris tendon sheath in his left wrist. The sheath covers the tendon on the top, outside part of the wrist. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list after the game
I never wish injuries on anyone but whatever it takes to stop Boston from continuing their sports dominance.
