There were talks of this but now its official. The Pistons have fired Head Coach Flip Saunders after a three year stint at the position.

The Pistons have fired Flip Saunders after three seasons in which he led the team to the Eastern Conference finals.

No replacement has been named, but a press conference announcing Michael Curry as the new coach is expected sometime this week.

Flip did a decent job. He lead the Pistons to the Eastern Conference finals, every single year that he was at the helm but apparently that wasn’t enough for the Pistons.

I guess they are the new Yankees, if you don’t win a championship, your out.
