ESPN - A baseball source has confirmed Ramirez has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, ESPN.com has learned. The Red Sox will pay remaining $7 million of Ramirez’s contract, ESPN.com’s Peter Gammons reported.

Jason Bay is going to Boston as part of the deal, ESPN.com’s Jayson Stark reported. And the Pittsburgh Pirates get four minor leaguers as part of the three-way deal.

Third baseman Andy LaRoche and right-handed pitcher Bryan Morris will go to the Pirates from the Dodgers. Outfielder Brandon Moss and right-handed pitcher Craig Hansen will leave the Red Sox organization for Pittsburgh, ESPN.com has learned.

So it’s the end of an era in Beantown. The Boston Red Sox finally traded Manny Ramirez.

This deal really surprises me. Even with all of the rumors, I really didn’t expect to see a Manny Ramirez deal to go down. I guess it’s probably for the best though. Things seemed like they were getting hot and the Sox do seem like they finally fed up with Manny.

The feelings appear to be mutual. Manny had these comments after being traded.

“The Red Sox don’t deserve a player like me,” Ramirez told ESPNdeportes.com Wednesday. “During my years here, I’ve seen how they [the Red Sox] have mistreated other great players when they didn’t want them to try to turn the fans against them.

“The Red Sox did the same with guys like Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Martinez, and now they do the same with me. Their goal is to paint me as the bad guy,” Ramirez added. “I love Boston fans, but the Red Sox don’t deserve me. I’m not talking about money. Mental peace has no price, and I don’t have peace here.”

Agreed Manny. This trade reminds me of when the Yankees turned their back on Joe Torre last season.

All Manny did was helped them to 2 World Series titles. It is what it is though.

Jason Bay has been a good player for a while now in Pittsburgh but he didn’t get any attention because he plays for the Pirates. At 29 they get a younger moderately good hitter. He’s no Manny but he’s nothing to sneeze at. This season he is right on par with Manny in terms of stats.

Bay’s .299 BA, 20 HR, 68 RBI season numbers look similar to Manny’s .282 Avg, 22 HR, 64 RBI numbers.

This deal helps all three of the teams involved but none of them will make the playoffs this season. Look for the Rays and the Yankees to make the playoffs from the AL East.

Serena Williams big golden tits… For those of you that can handle it

Serena Williams

Ok so I’m not embarrassed to say that I think Serena Williams may be a little bit too much woman for me. I like my women to be soft and feminine and no offense to Serena or anything but she doesn’t look soft or feminine. There’s too many better looking women out there and she looks like she would fuck me up once she caught me cheating. She’d get me in a headlock and it’d be a wrap.

Naw I’m good. You guys can have her and these pics of her in a nice top. I’ll take chicks like Selita Ebanks.

Pudge is a Yankee

pudge.jpg

The upgraded themselves yesterday by adding Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez to fill their void at the catcher position.  In exchange they sent relief pitcher Kyle Farnsworth the Tigers.

This is a good look for the Yankees.  This should help them in their attempt to make the playoffs.  Pudge has been one the best, if not the best catcher in the league for a long time.  This season he’s hitting .295.  That’s better than all of the other Yankees catchers this season.

The Tigers have been in need of some help in the bullpen all season so this should help them out as well.

Both teams are currently in third place in their divisions so we will see if this deal helps either of them make a push for the playoffs.

Michael Jordan, sharing knowledge or just embarrassing kids?

Sorry for the late start today. Overslept a little.

Lets get back to business though.

Here’s a video of Michael Jordan schooling some young kids that I found over at YBB.

The video starts off with the kids asking Michael Jordan who would win between him and Kobe Bryant. I guess that’s fair because Kobe is the best a lot of those kids have seen. Mike answers the question the way he honestly feels. He says that now Kobe would win because he’s older but if they were both in their primes, it wouldn’t be close.

For those of you who are to young to have watched Jordan play, it’s true. Jordan would shit on Kobe right now if they were both 25 and had a one on one.

The rest of the video is pretty much Jordan showing he still has his jump shot. It looks like that’s all he wanted to do but the crowd wanted him to dunk and Mike is a showman so he did it. Great vid.

Jason Giambi has a one fingered message for Brian Roberts

giambi.jpg

During the Bottom of the sixth inning of last nights Yankees/Orioles games, Jason Giambi came up to the plate. The Orioles decided that it’d be a good idea to put the shift on. They basically bet the house that Jason would pull the ball into right field.

He did. Unfortunately for them, the ball just went over Brian Roberts’ outstretched glove.

After that, Giambi let Roberts know exactly how he felt about the shift by flipping him the bird.

Baron Davis and Steve Nash Mystery Solved… Sort of

nashdavis.jpg

Ok, It looks like we may have finally gotten to the bottom of this whole Baron Davis and Steve Nash mystery that has been perplexing the blogosphere for the past couple of weeks.

Turns out they were shooting a movie. That’s pretty much what everyone though but what was with the getups?

Here’s a video that I think is supposed to explain it but it left me more confused then when I started.

Thanks to True Hoop for puttin me up on this one.

Terrell Owens flies past Pacman Jones

Ok so here is the video of the story I posted about the other day. It involves the Cowboys WR Terrell Owens and Pacman Jones. Now it’s one thing to read about what happened but when you see a video of it, it really makes you understand how badly Pacman got beat.

Now in his defense, T.O. looks like even at 34 he hasn’t lost a step, so it would take a tip top Pacman to stop him and his double move. Shit, it would probably take a tip top Champ Bailey or Asante Samuel to stop that but Pacman gave it a try anyway. You gotta at least give him credit for that, even if it didn’t end well for him.
