There will be documentary airing in August on Lifetime about the 'Fab Five' McKinney cheerleaders. Cheerleaders gone wild is nothing new but I never seem to get tired of it so for once Lifetime will be airing a made for tv movie that I might actually want to check out.

Jan. 2, 2007 - The pictures posted on MySpace.com looked like the latest installment of “Girls Gone Wild.” In them, cheerleaders from McKinney North High School in Texas exhibited all variety of bawdy behavior. One shot showed a bikini-clad girl sharing a bottle of booze with a friend. Another featured a cheerleader and several other girls in risqué poses offering glimpses of their panties. But the most infamous photo of all was taken in a Condoms To Go store. Five smiling cheerleaders dressed in uniform posed with large candles shaped like penises. At least one of them appeared to be simulating fellatio. “It would be an overstatement to describe any of the photographs as pornographic, but it would be an understatement to describe them as harmless high jinks,” wrote Harold Jones, a lawyer hired by the school district to investigate the incident. “Quite frankly, I personally found it ‘creepy’.”

Many Americans are just so prudish. I mean, come on, they should really just shut up and have a live on their own! Those are cheerleaders! They are meant to be good looking and meant to make people have fun! I really cannot find anything “creepy” about a candle. I wonder if Mr Jones found his first kiss or first night of sex “creepy” as well?

Although i do not believe what these girls did was right it was blown way out of preportion.

These girl haven’t really done much more than average teenagers but then again im not a clueless adult (aka most parents of 2008)

these are the fab five????? not nearly as cute as they are being depicted. Anyway……these chicks are going to have to join the real world as soon as HS is over and I guarantee, they will amount to nothing just like the hot-shots I went to school with. They will stay in that no-account town and have babies by more than one father and get fat. Hanging out in the bars, getting lousy local jobs, because they will be NOONE in college…disappearing into a sea of girls who are better looking and come from families with real money and get good grades. These girls will not be able to compete. They will run home crying. See what these stupid brats don’t realize is that their role-models (hilton, ritchie, lohan) HAVE MONEY and can support themselves and are actually famous. These chicks have no money, no jobs, can’t support themselves and are just bratty, spoiled criminals and are going to HAVE to DO something with themselves and they are incapable. Have fun girls!
I would have to agree with eajk on this. These girls are just that…simply little girls. Who really gives a damn what they do in highschool? Because….as eajk said….soon they will be off to college where noone is going to care less about who the hell they are. They aren’t the least bit impressive, and when they meet with the real world it will put them in their place as it usually does. It some aspects highschool is a joke. Some excel in hs and can’t hack it afterwards, while others struggle in hs and grow up to do amazing things in this world.

I don’t really understand all the drama behind this story. I’ve seen all the previews for the lifetime movie and read about what happened and after looking at the pictures and reading comments about it.. it doesn’t seem like a scandal that people all over should know about. I’m sure their behavior was unwarranted and uncalled for but I kind of agree with taylor baylor.. what teenager doesnt take those kind of pictures of drink illegally or act like assholes toward their teachers?

You state that it was blown out of proportion. Not by a long shot!!! First off, as far as the data goes, kudos for looking up something that is a study. I would have to look at the study though to see how valid it is.
I think these girls were given too many second chances. If your kids were doing this at school, you would be horrified. To say these girls didn’t do anything more than the average teenagers, I would rethink that statement as you are stating that all teenagers have done things like this. And if you think that this is true, it is because of people like you who do not disipline their children from this behavior. In all honesty, I don’t blame the children for what they were doing although it was wrong. It is their parents condoning this behavior and not doing anything about it. As far as parent’s being clueless, your statement of it being out of proportion shows your cluelessness about this.
I think there should be more movies and media productions of the way that people are treated in school so parents can learn how to parent. It is sad that in todays society, there are many many adults that should not be parents.
Even though there are teenage girls all around just like this i personally think its totall ridiculous on how they got away on all of that. The parents were just as irresponsible how could possibly let your kid get away with that type of stuff you know? They almost sabtaged a grown adults life. and are they happy where ever they are now? was it really worth all of that ?
As a former cheerleader, I am appalled! I graduated high school 7 years ago after being a member of my squad for all 4 years. And I can tell you, I could never get away with this BS! I would have been expelled! Forget kicked off the squad! There is always a group of girls in every school who think they’re better than everyone else and can get away with things that others cant. But at least at my school, they were NOT cheerleaders. Cheerleaders represent the school and there is no way that administrators should allow anything less than perfect examples of morally conscience girls on the squads, Shame on all the parents and teachers who allowed this!
i just saw the lifetime special and frankly, I can’t really separate it from my own high school. if you’re trying to ignore that fact that most teenagers drink, are promiscuous, and take inappropriate pictures, then you’re just not keyed in to what’s going on in the 21st century. when i was told about the whole “fab 5 texas cheerleaders scandal” and all the “risque pcitures”, i expected to see pretty bawdy photos. when i saw them, i couldn’t tell if i was looking at my friend’s facebook photo album or a post on perezhilton.com. what these girls did isn’t that out of the ordinary, and you’re only glorifying them by making such a big fuss out of the mundane shit they’ve done.

Frankly, these girls prove to be an embarassment to our gender.
I don’t even care about the pictures but because they look like regular girls. It’s the way they treated the other students and teachers and getting away with it that kills me. Your going to have confrontation with teachers and students, that’s everyday life in high school. But to get away with and nothing be done about it is bullshit PERIOD!!!! I went to Berkner high school in Richardson, TX and i wish these whores had of went to my school because there is no way they would have gotten away with a lot of the crap they got away with. I saw the movie and the mother of one of the cheerleaders (the principal) she just didn’t have a backbone.Now days you HAVE to set boundaries for you children because if you don’t they will walk all over you. As much as you think kids aren’t listening we really are.
i honestly dont know how the parents could not discipline their children like that. and hate the fact there are teachers/principles that work at the same school as the students. because most are favored for being their child. whats going to happen in the real world when your parents arent around to save you?
Please, these girls are just awful. The parents who raised them should be ashamed of themselves. I have a teen son and a young daughter…believe me I know teens will get into trouble but what I watched tonight on TV. was total disrespect. I never make excuses for my children…if they misbehave then they need to know there is a consequence. That they are to always respect teachers & adults. I would be so ashamed if that was one of my children on TV. tonight in the movie. I am so proud of the coach for fighting back and not refusing to give up. Maybe these girls would have more respect for things if their parents would actually take the time and teach them right from wrong…and not let them parade around like five ******* or sluts. If I was one of those parents I would be selling my house right now or even looking into a boarding or military school.
Let’s just hope it stops here…and the problems don’t go in the future to when they have children. I cannot get over a school treating there little brats better then there teachers…this is why I could never be a teacher, who in their right mind would let a teenage run their lives. This whole school district should be fired and start over with new people who don’t back down to threats or who knows who. THESE PARENTS NEED TO GROW SOME ****!!!!!!
I just watched the movie and was wanting to know if the girls were really that violent? Did two of the fab five actually get into a fight over a boy? I couldn’t believe that the high school the girls attended let them get away with that crap. The ringleader won’t be cheering for USC anytime soon. Did she end up going to a private school? To me, they all shoud have gotten expelled or expulded. Or they should have gone to jail or paid servitude to their victims.
Future Losers that will end up doing porn, since obviously that is what there parents have thought them and even though this happened a while a go it will stay with them the rest of their lives and they might find it funny now, but wait until they are older I assure you they will regret it and by then it will be Too Late. Feel sorry for any guy who marries one of them.
I wish they gave a update at the end of the movie like they do at times.
I would love to know if these girls even made it into college or had a punishment. If anyone knows let me know.

Yeah Melanie, I was actually waiting for the update at the end of the movie. They’re risque pictures that they’re talking about wasn’t really as bothering but I don’t agree with it too. But like most of them said everyone’s doing it. It’s the respect and discipline, I believe things like that happens in school but not the same students all the time and actually getting away with it. And I agree with Steven too, they should have gone to jail.
After reading all the comments above, I’m glad that not everyone thought what these girls did were common behaviors for teenage girls. Sure teenagers have wild moments, but to get away with it repeatedly, it is absurd. I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but like others I feel that the adults should have put a stop to all the nonsense along time ago.

Answer: Me and quite a large number of my friends in high school. Also, I’m sure there are a lot of former and current teenagers who will say no as well. Now, in no way am I saying that teenagers are perfect little angels. I’m just saying that your statement is inaccurate in assuming that all teenagers drink illegally and “act like assholes toward their teachers”.

1) This has nothing to do with Americans being prudish. I’m sure other countries would not have tolerated such behaviors either.
2) Cheerleaders are part of a group of representatives of the school. It is not based entirely on looks but rather skill and talent. In your defense for these girls’ behaviors, you have indirectly bashed on cheerleaders and cheerleading in general.
3) Was it really necessary to make that comment about Mr. Jones?
***And no, I am not some “prudish American”. I’m a college student, who can say that she is appalled by the actions of those who turned their heads away from such behaviors from teenagers, who stepped all over their parents and teachers like they own the world.

This is sadly showing us the state our children are going to. Being a mother or a father is different than being a PARENT. Being a parent means actually teaching your children right from wrong and displining them when they do stray. I think it’s horrible that these girls did the things they did and everyone just went with it. But, I think that once into the REAL social world, these girls will feel just like they made other people feel. Worthless and lonely. No one will give a hoot about how ‘bad’ and ‘pushy’ they were in highschool. Chances are no one will know their names or want to know their names. These girls need to shape up and get with the program. Highschool isn’t everything, sweetie . (: BUT , parents need to take this experience to heart so that they can steer their children away from that, so that we don’t have another Lifetime special on another ’scandal’.
I also would have liked to know where they are at now i was waitinf for it at the end of the movie. It technially wasnt a fab five if that one girl got out in the beginning of all of that. Parents do need to take responsibility, but arent did you see how much it took for one school just to realize how wrong everything was. They are definatly many other schools just like this one. One scandal is not going to change how girls are these days and parents trying to be friends and spoiling your kid rotten is not going to help either.
I went to MNHS, and all these pathetic stories going around about these girls are ridiculous.
This scandal over the “sex store” and “ruling the school” is outrageous, this is the opposite of what these girls need. They LIKE the attention.. So solving the problem was to make a movie about it?

you are right they don’t need anymore attention..but nobody in their right mind should acted the way they did, whether it was fabricated a little or not. no child should think they are invincible or get away w/ everything. especially messing with a teachers marriage. i did look into more of the story to see how much was true, and a lot of it was written in articles way before the movie aired. some comments posted on other sites are from girls that were cheerleaders in the school along with students, they did agree with the problems. whether every little detail in a movie was correct, well it is a movie most of it may be a little over the truth, but they wouldn’t make a movie about nothing. and as for the parents i would not approve of my daughters behavior plastered all over the tv in a night-time movies.
Look, to me it’s all about the parents. Of course kids want to run around and do whatever they hell they want. .These girls are no exception. I wanted to and I even did for a little bit. They only diffence between me and these girls is I had parents who gave me boundaries and consquences. They let me know that if i decided to stay out pass curfew then there would be a very good chance the locks would be changed by time I got back. That may not work for every parent but if you honestly don’t establish definable rules with your kids from a young age they will have no idea that the things they do have consquences, and worse, they have no concept of guilt. So I say, If you’re going to have kids be a parent, listen to your kids and help them understand where you, as a parent are coming from. This isn’t to say it will always work but it sounds like the parents of these girls didn’t even bother to try.
Ok well these so called “fab” girls did not do anything that atleast 50% of teenagers do during high school, underage drinking, teen sex, talking back to teachers etc etc it happens. The reason these girls caused a scandal is they did most of this parading around in their school cheerleader uniform. That is the big no no…they are representing their school and all they are doing is making themselves look like sluts. Now im not one to judge, i myself had the odd holding phallic shaped objects and pretending i was oh so cool, but never did i do it when representing a school and community.
I do not understand how these girls, pretty..but nothing spectacular, managed to intimidate everybody. Sadly these girls are goingt o grow up and realize they are nothing and mean nothing to anyone except those closest to them.

i actually looked at another sight and one of the girls mothers actually made an ignorant comment saying those aren’t the colors of our school but of a rival school of ours. Can you freaking believe that? Like the nerve of her to be worried about the damn colors of your school you need to be ashamed of our your daughter was acting. There was also a comment that a father made saying that a lot of stuff that the coach said wasn’t even true and how he might have friends over to watch it. He said that this situation has followed the girls to school. Well whose damn fault is that? Not ours, it’s yours your the parent and you should take responsibility for what they have done. Your children were BITCHES. Plain and simple.
I wont be back to see what anyone has to say about my post, cause I don’t really give a flying f#$%. I just finished watching the movie, and just wanted to blow off some steam. If those skany b!tches were to have acted that way in my school, they would had their little a$$es kicked. Just like some of the other posters said, it’s not about the pictures, drinking or just being brats. It’s about thinking they are already adults and getting away with sh!t like being allowed to disrespect adults. Also physically fighting other students. I would dare one of those wainches to have pushed me around back then, hell, now if they want. I’d have a whole line up of friends ready to teach them a lesson. omg i got so mad at that movie. Anyone who thinks this is a story about “harmless” teen fun is a jackass! You’ve got reality twisted if you think the country upset because of some “R” rated type pictures, if you can’t grasp that there is a deeper issue here (Enrico) then you must be a child yourself, or a mentally retarded adult. No adult should ever tolerate a child talking back to them the way that the “Fab Five” did to eveyone else. It was a case of 16 and 17 year olds trying pimp the system. If these were adults they could’ve been brought up on charges on everything from defeamation of character to extortion. When someone can get away with everything their whole childhood, what makes you think they would change as adults? These girls’ parents have got to be some of the worst parents alive. They rank right up there with crack whores and child molesters. What a pathetic, spineless school district. I can’t wait to see these girls get a dose of reality. If this happened a year ago, they should be in college now. Welcome to the real world bitches!
I think it’s a shame that there are people that think these girls did nothing wrong, that’s the problem with society today. Morals seem to no longer exsist in society and anything goes. As parents we have a responsibility in how we raise our children. There needs to be consequences to our actions, especially when were children. How else do we learn. Watching the Fab Five really made me sick.
Kudos to the coach for taking a risk to expose this principal and her cohorts. I drank in high school and even was mischievious - but we did it off school grounds and didn’t make spectacles of ourselves - it did not interfere with our schooling or extra activities. These girls were blatantly disrepectful, rude and intolerable and probably needed some good spankings from their parents when they were younger! That’s the problem with our society now - instead of saying that behaviour isn’t tolerated and there are consequences - parents turn the other cheek blaming some sort of medical disorder or problem and make excuses for the bad behaviours. In my day there were SEVERE punishments for disrespect and rule breaking - today with our touchy feely society, nobody wants their kids to be disciplined in school but they also don’t want to do it at home. If this practice continues our society is going to be in serious trouble! I too wonder what became of these girls. The world can be cruel and there are tougher people out there than them - if I run into them, they better not disrespect me or they’ll meet their match!
Yea, these girls are down-right nasty, intolerable, mean, and disrespectful. if they think they can get away with the evil things they do to people because they have parents who are in high places, imagine what would happen to them if their parents were not in royal positions. i do balme these girls for their blatant disrespect for their teachers and their peers, their school, and the community they live in, most importantly, i blame their parents most of all for allowing their kids to behave the way they do.

Sandra–really, what is there to love about the FAB FIVE. Don’t get me wrong, you are entitled of your own opinion, whatever they may be but, seriously, how and what can you love about them? They are mean and nasty…how can you tolerate the actions they pursued? Unless, of course, you are a FAB FIVE-ish yourself!? Honey, all I can say to you is this: you need a lot of reality check in your life. I don’t know who you are and I never will, but imagine you are the “bullied” by this girls, I don’t think you will “love” them anymore the way I don’t. If anything, I feel sorry for them to think they have not done any harm or any trauma whatsoever to the people they encountered with the venom they have released.
the fab five were the basic extreme stereotype pretty, popular, and able to get away with anytihng. though there is a line the district, parents, kids, and teachers are to blame. i think exposing them was a great learning lesson 4 parents but it also made the fab five think there celebs. they shounldnt get away with that crap. they wont last outside high school and i hope to God there is a sercurity guard at the high school reunion cuz im pretty sure theres gonna be a fight. as to the photos and booze seriously they pale in comparison
The person who did the “reporting” for this story is completely wrong. The 5 girls in the first picture are NOT the fab 5. Those girls went to McKinney High School, not McKinney North. Jeez. people really need to get their stories straight before they report on things like this.
Most of those picutures are not of the MNHS girls. The video is definately not. The only one for sure is the bottom left pic …maybe the bottom right. But not the others. And yes, they were at Mckinney North. I was there. Stupid bull crap.
I just watched the movie and all throughout I just wanted to slap those girls and their parents. I’m 21 so I’m not too long out of high school and I can say that we had some somewhat cocky cheerleaders but they were never disrespectful to their authority. Teenagers think they control the world and everyone in it, especially athletes because their authority figures allow them too and that is why those girls got so out of hand. They are the reason the world is such a mess. Many people are going to disagree with that but hey that’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it but this is not the way God intended things to be. The children should not be ruling the parents and other adults. Children are losing respect for their elders and I think that was a big issue going on with the “Fab Five”.

I just watched the movie (most of it, I keep missing the first 30 minutes or more) and while TV tends to overdramatize things, I have no doubt that a great many of the events depicted did happen. I remember seeing the initial reports when they first surfaced and I was appalled! I was a cheerleader for 6 years (junior high and high school) and never once even considered being disrespectful to my coach, parents or teachers/administration and from early on I knew I wanted to coach. Well, I finally had my chance, first as a volunteer then as the assistant coach for both the junior high and high school squads. Everything was great until it was revealed that the head coach and her family would be leaving the district early for personal reasons. So I took on the responsibility of being the head coach for the remaining 3 weeks or so of the high school basketball season (junior high b-ball was over). By this point, I already knew that at least a few of the girls on the squad hated me and to this day the only reason as to why was because I gave out demerits–everything from unexcused absences to practices, to unexcused tardies to practices, to not being prepared for practice, and even things as simple as not wearing the appropriate socks to games as part of their uniform. Sounds trivial, yes but these things were all outlined in the cheerleading constitution that all the girls had to sign before they could even try out for the squad. Their parent/guardian had to read and sign it as well. They all had ample opportunity to work off these demerits and they were aware of this fact but none of them ever approached me to work them off. I was told I was a B****, that i was mean, and as a result my life was made a nightmare. The problems only increased after the coach officially left the school and worst still after she left the state. It would take a lot of writing to fully explain everything else that happened but in short, i had very few cheerleaders at some games, even home games, and in many cases throughout the remainder of the season, I made the call for the girls not to cheer because the few (in some cases only 1 or 2) who showed up were new to cheerleading and didn’t feel comfortable on their own. Fortunately, though, there were a few girls on the squad who still respected me and my authority through all this and I had the full support of the administration. I hated the fact that the senior year of cheerleading for some of these girls was made so aweful by the actions of a couple of girls and as it seemed, some of the other girls were afraid to stand up to the ‘ringleader’. Though we ended the season on a very sour note, (with no one receiving school letters, service bars, pins, or even so much as a certificate of participation and all the girls were excluded from the annual athletic banquet recognizing students who participated in that season’s sports), I can take pride in the fact that I didn’t back down as coach until the season was over, that administration was frequently updated on their actions, and that I can be proud of and thankful to my administrators for supporting me and listening to my problems. Granted, the girls I dealt with were nowhere near ‘Fab 5′ calibur but my girls were talked about and not at all favorably. The fans were let down, the teams were let down and in effect, so was the district. These people knew which girls they could count on and so did I. I felt bad for not being able to give them the recognition they deserved and that was the only issue i had with the outcome of this whole situation. That and the fact that I didn’t have the opportunity to thank the girls who stood by me and by their school, reguardless of whether or not they liked the coach or how their season had gone. I admire Coach Ward for standing by her principles when her principal didn’t stand beside her, (yeah, that kinda sounds a little cheezy) and for fighting for everything she believed in. I understand your pain, Coach Ward, and I know it wasn’t easy. But someone needed to say, “Enough is enough,” and I thank and respect you for that.

Some people are saying that this is being “blown out of proportion”. Yeah, that might be true. I was not “popular” in high school because I chose not to be. I watched as they talked behind each other’s back and caused endless drama. Evr=eryone hated them and it wasn’t because they were “jealous” as that is what these mean, little twats would have spat back. Everyone hated them because they were spoiled little brats who saw life as a platter to be served to them. We weren’t jealous of them. I never recall wanting to be like them either.
