The Redskins scoop up Jason Taylor

The Redskins made a move yesterday picking up Jason Taylor in a deal with the Dolphins. In exchange for the pass rush specialist, the Skins gave up a second round 2009 pick and a 2010 sixth rounder.
ESPN is reporting that this deal came as a result of of the Skins losing Phillip Daniels for the year with a knee injury. I don't believe that though. Daniels got injured yesterday during the morning and Jason Taylor has been on trade block for weeks but all of the sudden, the Skins are able to make a deal within a few hours to get him? Naw. They must've been looking at Taylor for a while and when Daniels went down, they finally decided to pull the trigger.
In Taylor, the Skins will get one of the most consistent pass rushers since 2000. He has the most sacks of anyone since that year and he has had 6 seasons with 11+ sacks in that time span. He is 33 though and probably won't be playing for much longer but in the meantime, I'm sure the Skins will be happy to have him chase Eli Manning, Tony Romo and Donovan McNabb around for a while.
