I almost didn’t post this because I am a big Duke fan but it probably needed to be posted. In Saturdays very disappointing loss at home to North Carolina, Danny Green put the ultimate exclamation point on it by not only posterizing Greg Paulus but also teabagging him in the process. Duke haters have their day of glory…

Afternoon News and Notes: Sometimes good things happen to good people

LoL. So something really random and good happened to me yesterday. I just made a post about how my internet was cut off and so I called the company to see how much I was gonna have to pay to get it back on. I thought it was interesting because I had read my email at work and it had an email from the company saying “Thank you for your payment” and then when I called the company, they said that they received the payment too. The only thing is, I didn’t make a payment. It’s all good though, they turned my internet back on.

We’re back online and I am constantly trying to tweak this new theme. If anyone is good at graphics and wants to make a better banner that will match the theme please let me know. Heres some random news and notes.

Digger Phelps can dance??

At College Gameday on Saturday, good ol’ Digger showed off some of his dance moves in Phog Allen Fieldhouse, I just want to know who the Crimson Girl was.

Thanks to the Big Lead for puttin me up on this one.

Duke Blue Devil blows out his knee: What the??!?!

Ok so I am a Duke fan, always have been and honestly I feel kind of bad for not only posting this but also finding it hilarious.  Anyways, apparently during the Duke game the other night, the Mascot tried people surfing and afterwards he jumped off but he sprained his knee.  Now this jump was no more than a foot off the ground, how he managed to do this, I have no idea

Tennessee beats Memphis: Bruce Pearl is quite the ladies man [Video]

In what was a very good game tonight, #2 Tennessee beat #1 Memphis on the road tonight in a close 66-62 game. Chris Lofton played pretty bad the whole night going 2-11 from the floor but he hit 2 field goals with 2 seconds to go to put the game away.

Bruce Pearl being the go getter that he is, took the opportunity of being on the big stage to feel up Erin Andrews. I can’t blame him, I probably would’ve done the same thing. I feel sorry for her though because Bruce was sweating so much that he looked like a glazed donut.

College Basketball refs blow two big calls… Maybe Bob Knight was right

Last night there were two plays in college basketball where they called fouls with under a second to go and the foul shots ended up determining the outcome of the game.  I never condone talking bad about the refs but they really blew these calls last night.  First was the Rutgers/Tennessee game.  The girl definitely fouled her but it looked like time ran out but the lady vols got the call mysteriously.  They were playing in Tennessee so go figure.

Then there was the Villanova/Georgetown game.  This was the worst.  I hate Nova but they really got the shaft on this one.  There was a foul called 70 feet from the rim.  He had no time to pass it and no time to get off a decent shot.  Also, looking at the play it didn’t look like there was any contact and if there was, it was initiated by the Georgetown player.  PLUS, the ref was all the way on the other side of the court.  You can’t make this call.
