Kelly Clarkson can’t sing at the Red Sox game

Kelly Clarkson probably should have never won American Idol in the first place. The fake Justin Timberlake guy she was going against should have won. That was the last time I watched American Idol.

Since then she has fairly mediocre career, this may be the highlight of it though.

Red Sox Monster has a video of her being drunk and belligerent at the Red Sox game.

She likes drinking beer and singing Sweet Caroline at Fenway and she should know better than to do something like that a video tape it with a backwards cap on like that is some kind of disguise.

The White Sox are sore losers

A fight broke out during the White Sox and Royals game over the weekend. Miguel Olivo charged the mound after D.J. Carrasco hit him with a pitch.

Carrasco threw the ball high and tight on him twice and finally got him with the second pitch. As Olivo charged the mound, A.J. Pierzynski did the loyal thing, trying to stop him from reaching the pitcher.

He paid for his loyalty by being one of the few guys that got hit in this fight.

Five players got ejected after the fake brawl in the Royals 14-3 win over the White Sox.

Manny Ramirez is headed to the Dodgers

ESPN - A baseball source has confirmed Ramirez has been traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers, ESPN.com has learned. The Red Sox will pay remaining $7 million of Ramirez’s contract, ESPN.com’s Peter Gammons reported.

Jason Bay is going to Boston as part of the deal, ESPN.com’s Jayson Stark reported. And the Pittsburgh Pirates get four minor leaguers as part of the three-way deal.

Third baseman Andy LaRoche and right-handed pitcher Bryan Morris will go to the Pirates from the Dodgers. Outfielder Brandon Moss and right-handed pitcher Craig Hansen will leave the Red Sox organization for Pittsburgh, ESPN.com has learned.

So it’s the end of an era in Beantown. The Boston Red Sox finally traded Manny Ramirez.

This deal really surprises me. Even with all of the rumors, I really didn’t expect to see a Manny Ramirez deal to go down. I guess it’s probably for the best though. Things seemed like they were getting hot and the Sox do seem like they finally fed up with Manny.

The feelings appear to be mutual. Manny had these comments after being traded.

“The Red Sox don’t deserve a player like me,” Ramirez told ESPNdeportes.com Wednesday. “During my years here, I’ve seen how they [the Red Sox] have mistreated other great players when they didn’t want them to try to turn the fans against them.

“The Red Sox did the same with guys like Nomar Garciaparra and Pedro Martinez, and now they do the same with me. Their goal is to paint me as the bad guy,” Ramirez added. “I love Boston fans, but the Red Sox don’t deserve me. I’m not talking about money. Mental peace has no price, and I don’t have peace here.”

Agreed Manny. This trade reminds me of when the Yankees turned their back on Joe Torre last season.

All Manny did was helped them to 2 World Series titles. It is what it is though.

Jason Bay has been a good player for a while now in Pittsburgh but he didn’t get any attention because he plays for the Pirates. At 29 they get a younger moderately good hitter. He’s no Manny but he’s nothing to sneeze at. This season he is right on par with Manny in terms of stats.

Bay’s .299 BA, 20 HR, 68 RBI season numbers look similar to Manny’s .282 Avg, 22 HR, 64 RBI numbers.

This deal helps all three of the teams involved but none of them will make the playoffs this season. Look for the Rays and the Yankees to make the playoffs from the AL East.

Pudge is a Yankee

The upgraded themselves yesterday by adding Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez to fill their void at the catcher position.  In exchange they sent relief pitcher Kyle Farnsworth the Tigers.

This is a good look for the Yankees.  This should help them in their attempt to make the playoffs.  Pudge has been one the best, if not the best catcher in the league for a long time.  This season he’s hitting .295.  That’s better than all of the other Yankees catchers this season.

The Tigers have been in need of some help in the bullpen all season so this should help them out as well.

Both teams are currently in third place in their divisions so we will see if this deal helps either of them make a push for the playoffs.

The return of William Hung

Your average whack ass celeb gets their 15 minutes of fame. It sucks but hey that’s something we all have to deal with.Unfortunately at a Schaumburg Flyers minor league baseball game, people had to deal with William Hung coming to sing “She Bangs,” DURING pre-game warm-ups as he tried to steal another 30 seconds of fame. That’s one way to try and throw the other team off.

Steve Bartman takes the high road and DOESN’T take the $25,000

cubfan1.jpg

ESPN - Bartman friend Frank Murtha says that Bartman won’t accept an offer of $25,000. For the money, all Bartman would have to do is attend the National Sports Collectors Convention in Rosemont and autograph a photograph of himself tipping a foul ball that seemed destined for Cubs outfielder Moises Alou’s glove during a 2003 playoff game with the Florida Marlins.

I guess it’s a good thing that Steve Bartman didn’t take the $25 g’s for the autograph. Can’t say that I agree with him though.

If someone offered you $25,000 for your autograph because of an incident you were involved in that you wish you weren’t, would you do it?

If I were in Bartman’s shoes, I probably would have just said fuck it and did it. He will always be infamous in the hearts of all Cubs fans and would be tarred and feathered if he ever stepped foot into wrigley field, so he might as well get some money out it. That’s just me though.

The Best All Star game hairdo EVER!!

all-star-hair.jpg

If you were at the star studded MLB All star game this week at Yankee stadium in New York then I’m sure you saw some crazy fashions. You probably saw some off the wall stuff but then again, if your from New York, that’s nothing new to you.

Here is arguably the best hair style you will ever see in honor of a baseball game.

The beer vendor pictured above has part of Yankee stadium shaved into his head with the numbers of Yankee All stars Alex Rodriguez (#13) and Derek Jeter (#2) in there as well. I’m pretty sure he probably has Mariano Rivera’s #42 somewhere on his dome.

Props to HRD for finding this pic.
