Ok so this is a little unusual but ever since I started blogging for a living, a lot of things don’t surprise me anymore. According to OK! Magazine, Alex Rodriguez may be getting down with Madonna. The near 50 year pop icon has been having trouble in her marriage and it is rumored that she might be getting a divorce from her husband of 8 years Guy Richie but would she go for a younger guy like A-Rod?

I dunno… seems fishy but lets look at their evidence:

One thing this pair has in common is their love of a good workout! Last October, Madonna and A-Rod were spotted working up a sweat at Reebok Sports Club NY in Manhattan. Months later, the sports hero attended the singer’s charity Raising Malawi, where Madonna reportedly introduced him to her unimpressed 11-year old daughter Lourdes.

Then, in May, A-Rod attended the singer’s show at NYC’s Roseland Ballroom, and partied with her afterwards at The Box nightclub until early morning.

Oh wow! That is really concrete evidence, you can’t argue with that. I’d say that A-Rod is probably a fan of Madonna’s and maybe even had a crush on her like 20 years ago but if he really is going for her, more power to him. I for one happen to love older women. Any cougars reading this, shoot me an email.

Chicago Cubs fans are not happy with ESPN’s baseball play by play guy Joe Morgan. They can go ahead and get in line. There is even a blog named after him or at least what they want to happen to him.

The reason Chicago fans in particular are so steamed right now is because he found time out of his busy broadcast to insult Cubs legend Ernie Banks…

In the fifth inning, when Eric Patterson hit a two-run homer into the wire basket that overhangs the right field wall, Morgan referred to the basket as “Banks Boulevard,” and then went on to talk about how many Ernie Banks homers ended up in the Wrigley bleacher baskets back in the day - the implication being, of course, that many of Ernie’s 512 career homers were cheapies, and that he would have hit considerably fewer without the help of those right- and left-field baskets.

Apparently Morgan has been using this term for a long time in reference to the net and he claims that all the players at that time did as well. Thats all well and good except for the fact that the net was built in 1970 and Banks retired in 1971. Banks only hit 7 home runs in that time.

Because his comments are blatantly wrong, there many bloggers who are pissed. They are trying to organize a boycott of ESPN until he issues an apology. Doubt that will happen.

New York Mets Manager Willie Randolph has been through a lot this year. A lot people feel that he should be fired and they haven’t been shy to say it, he’s gotten into issues with the Mets tv station SNY, and his team is playing with no passion.

All of these things have people believing that when he goes to meet with the Mets owner Fred Wilpon tomorrow.

Willie is confident that he will keep his job though. When asked about whether keep his job he stated “I don’t see why not.”

At least he feels optimistic but if you look at the talent that the Mets have had over the last few years and the results they’ve had, someone has to be held accountable and unfortunately for Willie, the coach is always blamed no matter what sport it is.

He will likely be gone before the Mets face the Marlins tomorrow.

Kelly Blair, the owner of the Texas based gym 1-on-1 Elite Personal Fitness, bragged to friends about selling performance enhancing drugs to Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte and Jeff Bagwell according to sources.

Blair was questioned by federal agents conducting the Roger Clemens perjury case and according to his interview with ESPN, he told them “everything.”  He admitted that he had sold HGH, steroids and he had used steroids himself, however he claimed that he never sold anything to Clemens or Andy Pettitte.

The sources didn’t want to be named for fear of retribution from Kelly Blair and they admitted that they don’t even know for sure whether Blair was being honest or if he was full of it just trying to act like hes hangin with the big boys.  This issue isn’t going anywhere anytime soon for Roger Clemens.  It’s gonna be a hot summer.

Julio Franco recently retired at the age of 126 and now David Wells is trying to make a comeback and follow in his footsteps. He is trying to be the next overaged, washed up ball player that keeps managing to get paid.

The Yankees are in need of a new pitcher and David Well just might be their guy. Hank Steinbrenner is considering it.

“Obviously, he’ll always be a Yankee to me,” Steinbrenner said.

The Baby Boss then dropped a subtle hint he’s growing disillusioned with the Yankees’ youth movement and could open the door to Wells.

“What sticks out in my mind, that team in the late ’90s, the starting pitching,” he said. “You had [David] Cone, El Duque [Orlando HernandezOrlando Hernandez ], Wells . . . they were all big-game pitchers. They all came from elsewhere - not in the system.

“Everybody talks about the great players from the farm system that we had in the ’90s, but it was the starting rotation. That was a huge part of the success. Huge.”

Well will turn 45 in 11 days so we will see if they will decide that his age is or isn’t an issue.

It just keeps piling on Roger Clemens. I guess years of being a cocky, roids user with a temper so bad that he’ll throw a bat at you has finally caught up to him.

The latest female to emerge from Roger Clemens black book is Paulette Dean Daly, former wife of golf bad boy John Daly. NY Daily News has sources that have told them that Clemens arranged trips for Daly to watch him pitch and that he also spent time for her in Florida. I wonder what else she was watching him do?

The pair met at the Bob Hope Classic in Palm Springs, FL and is said to have met after Daly was divorced from her golf clubbing ex.

“Yeah, I’ve known Roger quite a while and we are friends,” Daly said yesterday.

She declined to elaborate on the nature of her relationship with the pitcher, but did not deny allegations from several sources that it was romantic and included financial support.

Asked if she had been romantically involved with Clemens, Daly replied: “You know what, I’m really uncomfortable talking about this. I’m just going to have to say, ‘No comment.’

“I know Roger. I consider him a good friend. That’s all I’m comfortable saying.”

That basically means yes they did. If they didn’t she would just come out and say no. Plus we all know now what happens when Roger Clemens makes flight arrangements.

As if Roger Clemens didn’t have enough on his plate right now, what with the whole Mitchell Report thing and the trial, we have some more shocking news about the former icon.

According to the NY daily news, Mr. Clemens had a 10 year affair with her starting from when she was 15 years old. So not only is Roger a druggie but hes also a child molester too?? And to think, this guy was once one of my heroes.

According to sources, Clemens was with his Red Sox teammates in a Fort Myers, Fla., bar when then-teenager McCready caught his eye. After Clemens threw a shirt with his and several teammates’ signatures onstage, an introduction was made.

“It was love at first sight, no doubt about it,” said a source with intimate knowledge of the relationship.

According to the source, McCready did not learn that Clemens was married to Debbie Clemens until McCready attended a baseball game with her two younger brothers and read Clemens’ bio in the program. The source says that McCready was too young to be angered by the news that Clemens was taken.

Joba Chamberlain tryin to get at Erin Andrews??

Ok so I don’t know if thats what he was actually doing but why else would he whisper in her ear? And her reaction is classic, she gives him the eye roll.

It’s probably because Joba just got back from being with his sick father, Erin talked to him and tried to console him and he was tryin to get the pussy. I guess he didn’t know if he would get another shot so he was just like “fuck it, ill go for it.” Can’t blame him for trying.
