Mets 1 - Rockies 4: The Rockies have been struggling lately with a lot of injuries. The Mets have been struggling with everything else. With the huge of distraction of their managers job on the line, the Mets lost again yesterday with a 4-1 loss to the Rockies. The Mets can barely put together a two game win streak and in this game it was sad because they were essentially facing a triple A lineup.
Don’t tell that to the Rockies Seth Smith and Aaron Cook though. Smith hit …

Diamondbacks 1 - Marlins 3: Brandon Webb has been doing his thing this year, going 9-0 so far but don’t tell that to the Marlins. Last night they messed up Webb’s shot at a 10-0 start by beating him and the D-backs 3-1. Webb only allowed 3 runs on 6 hits but his team only score 1 run so that didn’t help.
Indians 2 - White Sox 7: Jermaine Dye lifted the White Sox to their 7-2 win over the Indians last night. Dye had 2 home runs in this one. …

Royals 0 - Red Sox 7: Jon Lester is 24 years old but he’s already accomplished a lot more than a lot of guys way older than him. He has beaten cancer, he pitched in the World Series clincher and now he has a no hitter on his resume. Not too bad, his next plans are to walk on the moon and cure AIDs.
Anyway, last night Lester threw his first complete game in the Majors and it just so happened to be a no hitter as he completely shut the …

Mets 11 - Yankees 2: Jose Reyes and the Mets needed this series to get their minds right. The underachieving Mets came into Yankees stadium and swept the Yankees in a shortened series. Reyes had a home run in this game for the second straight night and Oliver Perez pitched a solid 7 2/3 innings to boost the Mets to the win.
Tiger 0 - Diamondbacks 4: 44 year old Randy Johnson is not the same pitcher that he was when he when was 24 but he is still very effective and …

Pirates 7 - Cubs 6: Alfonso Soriano hit 2 home runs for the second straight game but it wasn’t enough to help the Cubs to a win. It was Nate McLouth’s 9th inning home run off Carlos Marmol that allowed the Pirates to break the tie and get the 7-6 road win over the Cubs.
White Sox 3 - Giants 1: Barry Zito has been having a rough year to say the least. Yesterday he became the first Giants pitcher since 1890 to open a season with 8 straight losses …

Blue Jays 3 - Phillies 10: The Phillies’ Jayson Werth was the story in this game. Werth came up huge for the Phillies with 3 home runs in his first 3 at bats. Not too shabby. He also tied a Phillies record for RBIs with 8. He was responsible for most of the runs in their 10-3 win over the Blue Jays.
Pirates 4 - Cubs 7: Alfonso Soriano isn’t exactly Jayson Werth but he still had a productive day yesterday with 2 home runs in his first 2 …
