Anderson Silva is widely considered by many to be the best pound for pound MMA fighter in the world. The quick Brazilian fighter faced off against James Irvin last night.

Would there be an upset? Would we see the worlds best MMA fighter go down? In a word, no.

Anderson Silva made quick work of James Irvin. When Irvin tried a small kick, Silva grabbed it and sent a quick right hook to his face. Irvin fell down and the rest is history.

Ok so in case you didn’t know before last night Fedor Emelianenko is the best heavyweight MMA fighter in the world, period.

He proved it (yet again) by defeating the former two time UFC champion Tim Sylvia very easily. It only took him a few punches, a quick rear chokehold and 36 seconds to beat Tim Sylvia.

Leave it to UFC though to tease us though. After the quick fight that was reminiscent of some of Mike Tyson’s quickies, Randy Couture made an appearance in the ring, undoubtedly psyching us up for what could be a potential Emelianenko/Couture matchup as the next big fight.

We’ll see what happens.

UFC 86: Jackson vs. Griffin is coming on tonight and I for one am very excited. If your not yet, check out this video. It features a preview of the title bout between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Forrest Griffin.

This matchup is for Jackson’s UFC light heavyweight championship and he’s my pick to retain it. Griffin is a little pretty white boy whos gonna get fucked up tonight. :-D.

Kim Couture, the wife of Randy Couture, had an impressive MMA debut last Saturday night. It was a magnificent showing of how NOT to fight. She was defeated by Kim Rose in the matchup but she wasn’t just beaten, she was pummeled. She came in trying to look cute and left with a broken nose and a broken jaw.

Wrong career choice maybe?

Here is a video of Jeff Monson challenging Kimbo Slice.  He seems like he’s pretty jealous of Kimbo Slice, especially because of the cover shot he got on ESPN the magazine.  Mr. Monson probably just wants some attention, how else can you explain why he shoots a video on youtube with his shirt off like we want to see that?

During Bill O’Reilly’s show, The O’Reilly Factor this week he spoke about the now infamous fight with James Thompson and Kimbo Slice from last week.

O’Reilly had a problem with the fact that they showed the blood from Thompson’s ear on network TV.  As if they were supposed to justblock it out? When they figure out how to censor live TV then I guess they will.

Anyway, O’Reilly picked a panel of other losers with nothing better to do but complain about a little blood on TV:

While all this is going on, Americans are actually dying in Iraq for an unnecessary war that O’Reilly supports 100% but he has a problem with Kimbo Slice bursting this guys ear open.

Something tells me that if it had been the other way around and Slice’s ear exploded on TV, O’Reilly wouldn’t have had a problem with it.

Before Kimbo Slice (real name Kevin Ferguson) was a household name, youtube sensation, and ear buster he was arrest in Miami. He was arrested for gun and open container charges. OHHH NOOOO!!!! NOT THE OPEN CONTAINER!!!!!

The charges were later dropped and he was ordered to attend an alcohol training course.
