Here is the new Nike ad promoting the Olympic basketball team. It features the late great Marvin Gaye and of course the USA basketball team.

There isn’t really anything special about the clips of the USA players in the video but Marvin Gaye’s performance of the National Anthem is what made me post this video. Enjoy!

If you read blogs regularly, you probably found out that Ron Artest was traded before he did.

Last week when Ron was traded to the Houston Rockets, he found out while calling in to a live radio station. He was trying wish Sirius radio host Scott Ferrall a happy birthday and Ferrall dropped the news to him.

He didn’t stay on that topic for long, smart move. He probably didn’t want to say anything that would get him into trouble.

TMZ is reporting that Paul Pierce got pulled over this weekend under suspicion of driving drunk. It had an interesting twist though.

TMZ - Law enforcement sources tell us Pierce was stopped in front of the Tropicana Hotel and Casino and given not one but two field sobriety tests, plus a breathalyzer for good measure. He passed all three!

Now here’s the interesting part. After cops let him go, Paul left his car at the valet and took a cab home. He was not cited or charged.

So if he was ok to drive and they didn’t give him any tickets, why did he drive home in a cab.

There’s even a video with Pierce looking a little less than sober.

Looks fishy to me.

So if your like me, you were questioning the decision to bring Dwayne Wade to the Olympics. His team just came off of a 15 win season and he has been hurt since the 2006 season and hasn’t been the same since.

Ok maybe I was wrong.

During last nights game against Lithuania, D-Wade led the way with a game high 19 points and this ridiculous slam.

Now don’t get too excited because they were playing Lithuania afterall but… I will get off his case, for now.

Ok so here’s a very interesting photo of our friends Greg Oden and Kevin Durant from the ESPYs taking in some eye candy. Thanks to the big lead for finding this pic.

Now I believe this is from last years ESPYs because if I remember correctly Maria Sharapova wore that last year and Greg Oden definitely looks smaller than he does now.  He’s been working out a lot over the last year.

Even so, it’s still a great find and if anyone knows who the brunette is, let me know.

Ok, It looks like we may have finally gotten to the bottom of this whole Baron Davis and Steve Nash mystery that has been perplexing the blogosphere for the past couple of weeks.

Turns out they were shooting a movie. That’s pretty much what everyone though but what was with the getups?

USA Olympic Basketball player Dwayne Wade has been separated from his wife since at least September or last year and since then he has been rumored to have been with a few different females. One of which was Star Jones?!?!? That’s not the pussy you made it to the NBA to get.

The YBF reported yesterday that Dwayne Wade was a seen kickin it with the lovely Gabrielle Union…. Now thats more like it:

Sources say [Wade and Union] were all over each other at a Jet nightclub in Vegas this past weekend. Dwyane was there for the pre-Olympic basketball festivities and Gabby was there doing her usual. Partying. The two were in their own world while dancing and grinding in the club. And seeing that we can all be pretty sure at this point that Dwyane’s wife Siovaughn, who has moved back to their hometown of Chicago, now has the “ex” title. And I don’t know why these two are still hiding this “relationship” that’s been going on for over a year now. I’m told pretty much everyone around them knows what up. But I wouldn’t be surprised if Gabby was the one not ready to settle down again. Y’all know she loves the athletes and likes to have her pick of the litter.

Gabby Union is rumored to be into athletes, besides being linked with Dwayne Wade she has also dated Jason Kidd and Derek Jeter.

As long a Dwayne realizes he’s a star and can get better women than Star Jones. You don’t even have to be a star to get better women. Maybe he has low self confidence or something but getting with Gabby Union should help that some.
