2008 Beach Soccer World Cup: Cheerleaders dancing in bikini’s makes for the best halftime show EVER

Ok so I’m willing to bet that the majority of the people reading this post, didn’t even know that there was a beach Soccer World Cup, but there is and here is one major reason why you should not only know about it, but watch it… at least for about 10 minutes.

Here is a video of the halftime show at the beach soccer festivities and I have to say that this cheerleading show definitely beats out a lot of other mediocre ones that you will see watching Clippers games.

My only gripe with this video is right once you are getting into it, about 9 seconds in they show a boner killing glimpse of Eric Cantona scratching his beard. Nobody wants to see that so be warned, close your eyes at that point and then your in the clear for the rest of the video.

It looks like Josh Childress is already having fun in Greece

jp7s1238_1.jpg

This week Josh Childress left the Atlanta Hawks to play with the Greek Squad the Olympiakos. The main reason for going overseas is that he can make more money over there right now. His deal is going to be about 3 years, $20 million after taxes. Not too bad for a backup.

So what do you do when you are a new country and you don’t know anybody and you want to get your name out there. Hit the Club of course.

In this video that I found today via True Hoop, Childress is partyin’ it up in Greece to Fat Joe’s lean back.

Is that song just hitting the clubs out there? That song came out in 2004. They’re a little late.

Amazing ball flip by Alexei Ramirez

Here is a great play by the Chicago White Sox second basemen Alexei Ramirez.

Don’t mess with Brazilian police

What do you say to a woman with two black eyes?

Nothing, you already told her twice.

What do you say to a women with a big ass boot print on her stomach?

Don’t fuck with Brazilian police.

Here is a video of a woman in Brazil who wasn’t happy about the game she was watching being delayed. Police showed up to calm down the crowd but she didn’t want to calm down at all. Bad idea.

Now I’m sure we’ve all seen police brutality videos before (especially if you live in New York or LA) but this one is definitely different than most. Most of the time you don’t see 4 grown ass men taking on 1 woman. I guess whatever it takes to get some aggression out.

Think football is a tough sport? Think again

If you talk to an American about which sport is the toughest sport, most will probably say football. We love people running around hitting each other with lots of padding and helmets on.

If you go to another country though, you will find that most people laugh at us. Most people in other countries will tell you that rugby is WAYYY tougher that football will ever be. Here is a video proving that.

Lets see pretty boy Tom Brady play this shit.

LA Sparks vs Detroit Shock: Now THIS is a Catfight

So the other day I made a post about what I thought at the time was a pretty decent catfight between Danica Patrick and whatshername. That’s nothing compared to a fight that happened the other day in the WNBA though.

In a game between the Detroit Shock and the L.A. Sparks, an all out girl brawl broke out and it resulted in 10 players between both of the teams being suspended.

Here is the fight.

Ok so the fight wasn’t as good as other fights that we’ve seen in the MLB, the NHL, or even in Knicks/Heat games but it’s a pretty good start as the first all out brawl in the WNBA’s history.

Is this what they had in mind when they shot this commercial?

West Ham United and Columbus crew “friendly” turns very UNfriendly

soccer-topper.jpg

USA Today - A halftime brawl between more than 100 fans marred an exhibition match Sunday between West Ham United of the English Premier League club and the MLS’ Columbus Crew. The fights, which overshadowed West Ham United’s 3-1 win, began when a handful of West Ham supporters… entered the northeast corner of the stadium where the Crew’s most boisterous supporters typically gather.

Crew supporters began directing chants toward the rival fans, and fights quickly broke out between more than 100 Crew fans and at least 30 West Ham fans. [Note: police reportedly used pepper spray on the crowd. -Ed.]

This was supposed to be a friendly matchup but I guess they didn’t like each other too much.

This West Ham fan doesn’t look like he had the best time.

Here is some more footage from the brawl. I thought this only happened at European soccer games. This might help increase interest in the sport here.
